As mentioned in the previous post, when doing an art class painting demo, at the Blu' Bisque, the selected painting would, often, be a painting created by another artist. Even though the paintings are great, creative & beautiful imagery, they were not images I thought of to paint. Consequently, replicating someone else's images can be challenging, yet a lot of fun! Since the painting, Paisley-Blossom Abstract, featured in the previous post is my version of one of another artist's art, the copyright symbol only denotes that I painted the image on that canvas, not that it is my original creation. Another benefit of covering a class for another artist is that I met a lot of wonderful people, of all ages, while demonstrating the paintings!
The class that painted this painting was filled with adult family and friends painting together, with me. Simultaneously, a teenage daughter of the hostess celebrated her birthday with a pottery-painting Princess Party, in the Princess Party event room. This was another delightful three-generation event as the grandmother joined in on the painting fun with me/us, too! The grandmother is a painter too, however she had not painted in years. Once she began painting on her canvas during this class her love of painting was renewed, and as you can see she is a talented painter! Each of the adult painters added their own design variations to their paintings, yet each painting is a beautiful work of art!

Good Day! Friends, this art class was part of a birthday party! The birthday girl selected a butterfly painting I'd painted earlier. We had a lot of fun as they created their versions of the painting! Of course, we had a break for birthday cake and other goodies!
As you can see these new, teen artists created unique versions of the butterfly. The moms and grand-mom joined in on the painting fun, too. They painted lovely versions of the butterfly painting, as well! This painting was the grandmother's very first one, and wow, we all agreed, that she did an excellent job!

Hey, Friends! I enjoyed the opportunity to instruct the DIY "You Don't Know Jack" pumpkin-themed painting classes at the Blu' Bisque Pottery & Canvas Painting Studio. The parents really enjoyed being able to create crafts & paint with their child(ren). We had fun creating crafts and painting the pumpkins!

Hello, Everyone! Today's images feature an abstract painting of musical instruments, painted by these ladies. The ladies are relatives/sisters that wanted to take a painting class, together. They intended to make it a 'Canvas Over Cocktails' experience, however they forgot to bring their cocktails. So, it became a 'Canvas Over Cocoa' class (which they thoroughly enjoyed) with hot cocoa, marshmallows & cookies we had available for the Creative Kids classes.
You can see the demo painting, that I painted, on a high-boy table in the background of the images. It was a delight to teach these ladies how to re-create this painting, by first showing them how to sketch the instruments onto the canvas with pencils. As you can see for yourself, they did an excellent job of painting this abstract of musical instruments!

Hello, Friends! Today's featured image is of a delightful couple, The Olivaris, who participated in a class that turned out to be for the two of them, exclusively, and their works or art! I met them during this painting class as I was filling in for another newly wedded artist-instructor. As you can see we painted an abstract rose. This is a painting I'd loaded to the Blu' Bisque's calendar (in my Website Designer role, there) earlier in January. The Olivaris saw it on the calendar and chose to come on that day. How fortuitous for all of us!
Although the painting is an abstract rose, we noticed, during class, that it is easy to see other forms in the paintings as well. Often, that's the beauty of abstract art. Furthermore, the original painting is black, white and grey. However, I added browns, reds and gold to my rose, while the Olivaris added the colors you see, below. Mr. & Mrs. Olivari took this class as a part of their couple's activities which they planned together, so as to add even more joy and delight to their obviously blessed marriage. I thoroughly enjoyed painting with them, and listening to them chat with the Blu' Bisque's owner (my sister).
By the way, both of the Olivaris are talented entrepreneurs, located in the Atlanta, GA area. She's a talented Baker and he's a talented Web Developer; be sure to check out their websites and let them know where you 'heard' (read) about them! Aren't their abstract roses, beautiful? I think they both created beautiful paintings, and a beautiful memory!

Hello, Everyone! The little artist featured in the images below, came to paint with me, thanks to her mother enjoying her painting experience approximately one week earlier. Her mother created another beautiful abstract and they created a separate abstract, together. As a petite artist she did a wonderful job painting. You can see her artwork, below! I think she's 5 years of age; didn't she do a great job of painting with her mother?! I really enjoy seeing families paint together; it is a wonderful experience, all around!

Good Day! Friends, this class was part of a birthday party for a little girl, that favors Hello Kitty themes. So, I came up with a Hello Kitty that was part-Princess, and part-Ballerina! The boys (& girls) had the option to paint a Frog Prince, as well. Additionally, the option to paint something of their own idea(s) was offered for those that wanted to paint something different.
As you can see, this class included painters that are pre-teens, teens and their grand-pa! This was another wonderful art class with birthday party combined! Three generations were at this party, and there are a lot of parents and grandparents that were there, yet not on the images below. They had a great time as well. I certainly appreciated their assistance in distributing more paint, as the painters needed it. Every child was a delight to work with and so were the parents and grand-parents.
I've totally enjoyed demonstrating the paintings during the classes, and I am looking forward to doing so on an even greater level for the multi-generational classes, as well! After the preliminaries have taken place, I can discern the moment students of each age begin to focus on what they're doing with paint and paint brushes, due to how quiet they become. As they paint they appear to be discovering that they have the ability to make art, and that is always a wonderful experience to witness those moments of discovery!

Good Morning, Everyone! The students in the images, below, have such a romantic reunion story. They reunited after many years apart since school, reconnected very recently and felt as if they had only been separated for a short amount of time. They were absolutely delighted to participate in this class for two that he scheduled for them.
In all the excitement of getting to the class, together, they forgot to bring snacks that evening. Among other snacks, we had a lot of cheese puff balls left over from the 'You Don't Know Jack' pumpkin-themed painting classes, and I offered them. As it turns out, cheese puff balls are one of her absolute favorite snacks! In a wonderful way, those cheese puff balls added to their notions of a 'tailored-for-them, meant-to-be-evening for the two of them!
As we painted, we had a great conversation about reunited love and romance. I hope they're still enjoying another season of their 'Happily Ever After'!

Hello, Everyone! These hostess for this class invited a small group of her friends. However, some had to cancel. So, we continued with the class anyway and these two best-friends enjoyed creating their version of the painting.
After aiding during (and teaching) several Canvas Over Cocktails classes, I realized the value in advising the students to enjoy their cocktails after the first hour of painting. I began telling the students this so that 'wine-eyes' (as I call them) do not prevent them from creating a nice version of the featured painting. During this class, 'wine-eyes' did impact one's painting, so I gave her instructions on how to un-do the impacted parts, at home, in a day or two. She was pleased to know that she could do so! We can see the great talent rising from what they painted, so far!
The Canvas Over Cocktails themed classes seems to delight the participants so much, because they come with beloved friends and family ready to relax, enjoy each other's camaraderie and the painting process. It's been a delight to observe this type of atmosphere during classes!

Hello, Friends! These two families were such a delight to instruct (all of my students have been a delight, really)! We painted unique pumpkin-themed paintings for the 'You Don'r Know Jack' at the Blu' Bique event, first. Then, actual fresh pumpkins were painted with their custom, unique designs! The art that these students created on canvas and on pumpkin is so nice!

Hello, Everyone! Today's featured class is of a group of students/ladies that painted together, in celebration of one's birthday. As you can see some of them painted pottery and some painted canvases. Both groups did a great job of painting as they enjoyed their desserts and cocktails. Their creativity shows through the custom details they added to their works of art! So many artists and such great artwork!
