Metallic Acrylic Abstract & Other Paintings for Sale

Posted by Chae Designs - Michelle 'Chaella' Boddie | Posted in , , , , , , , , | Posted on 9:59 PM

Hello! The paintings featured below are works of art hand-painted by me, Michelle Boddie. At the moment, the last three, two paintings are available for purchase in the USA, only. The first two paintings, Metallic Abstract Butterfly and Golden Wine Flower are available, internationally, at Saatchi Art/Michelle 'Chaella' Boddie!

Although the hand-written date on the Metallic Abstract Butterfly is '2014' I actually painted it around 2010. Specifically, I describe this painting as, "A Lumiere abstract butterfly painted in the colors Pearl Magenta, Citrine, Copper, Brass, and Sunset Gold on canvas, with a generous-sized artist's signature in the right-bottom corner."

The golden metallic blossom that I titled Golden Wine Flower was painted around 2010, as well. As you can see, its colors are Lumiere Crimson, Brass, Sunset Gold and Citrine! It, too, has a generous-sized artist's signature in it's bottom-left corner.

The last two paintings are my versions of art (selected for demonstrating the painting of) for art painting classes at the Blu' Bisque. These beautiful paintings were painted in 2014, using Metallic Acrylic and Acrylic on Canvas. If you are a fan of the prettiest pinks and reds featured on this duo of Flower Bud & Blossom and Metallic Hearts Blossoms, or you know someone that is, you're certainly welcome to buy them, together, for yourself or for them!

Paisley-Blossom Abstract: The Class

Posted by Chae Designs - Michelle 'Chaella' Boddie | Posted in , , , , , , | Posted on 7:41 PM

As mentioned in the previous post, when doing an art class painting demo, at the Blu' Bisque, the selected painting would, often, be a painting created by another artist.  Even though the paintings are great, creative & beautiful imagery, they were not images I thought of to paint.  Consequently, replicating someone else's images can be challenging, yet a lot of fun!  Since the painting, Paisley-Blossom Abstract, featured in the previous post is my version of one of another artist's art, the copyright symbol only denotes that I painted the image on that canvas, not that it is my original creation.  Another benefit of covering a class for another artist is that I met a lot of wonderful people, of all ages, while demonstrating the paintings!

The class that painted this painting was filled with adult family and friends painting together, with me. Simultaneously, a teenage daughter of the hostess celebrated her birthday with a pottery-painting Princess Party, in the Princess Party event room. This was another delightful three-generation event as the grandmother joined in on the painting fun with me/us, too!  The grandmother is a painter too, however she had not painted in years.  Once she began painting on her canvas during this class her love of painting was renewed, and as you can see she is a talented painter!    Each of the adult painters added their own design variations to their paintings, yet each painting is a beautiful work of art!

Abstract Musical Instruments

Posted by Chae Designs - Michelle 'Chaella' Boddie | Posted in , , , , , | Posted on 9:03 PM

Hello, Everyone! Today's images feature an abstract painting of musical instruments, painted by these ladies. The ladies are relatives/sisters that wanted to take a painting class, together. They intended to make it a 'Canvas Over Cocktails' experience, however they forgot to bring their cocktails. So, it became a 'Canvas Over Cocoa' class (which they thoroughly enjoyed) with hot cocoa, marshmallows & cookies we had available for the Creative Kids classes.

You can see the demo painting, that I painted, on a high-boy table in the background of the images. It was a delight to teach these ladies how to re-create this painting, by first showing them how to sketch the instruments onto the canvas with pencils. As you can see for yourself, they did an excellent job of painting this abstract of musical instruments!

'Date Night' - Painting Abstract Roses with The Olivaris

Posted by Chae Designs - Michelle 'Chaella' Boddie | Posted in , , , , , , , | Posted on 1:54 PM

Hello, Friends!  Today's featured image is of a delightful couple, The Olivaris, who participated in a class that turned out to be for the two of them, exclusively, and their works or art!  I met them during this painting class as I was filling in for another newly wedded artist-instructor.  As you can see we painted an abstract rose.  This is a painting I'd loaded to the Blu' Bisque's calendar (in my Website Designer role, there) earlier in January.  The Olivaris saw it on the calendar and chose to come on that day.  How fortuitous for all of us!

Although the painting is an abstract rose, we noticed, during class, that it is easy to see other forms in the paintings as well.  Often, that's the beauty of abstract art.  Furthermore, the original painting is black, white and grey.  However, I added browns, reds and gold to my rose, while the Olivaris added the colors you see, below.  Mr. & Mrs. Olivari took this class as a part of their couple's activities which they planned together, so as to add even more joy and delight to their obviously blessed marriage.  I thoroughly enjoyed painting with them,  and listening to them chat with the Blu' Bisque's owner (my sister).

By the way, both of the Olivaris are talented entrepreneurs, located in the Atlanta, GA area.  She's a talented Baker and he's a talented Web Developer; be sure to check out their websites and let them know where you 'heard' (read) about them!  Aren't their abstract roses, beautiful?  I think they both created beautiful paintings, and a beautiful memory!

Kids' Art on Canvas, Hot Cocoa & Crackers

Posted by Chae Designs - Michelle 'Chaella' Boddie | Posted in , , , , , , | Posted on 11:13 PM

Hello, Everyone!  Here are a few images of the classes for kids (with their parent(s) that I've taught at the Blu' Bisque, in 2014 & 2015!  These little artists were quite confident with a clear idea of what they wanted to paint on their canvases!  I think the art these little students created is beautiful!  Their parents enjoyed watching their little ones engage so fully in the artistic process, as I always do, too. Stay tuned for news about upcoming art classes with me, Michelle Boddie!

A Petite Painter of Abstracts

Posted by Chae Designs - Michelle 'Chaella' Boddie | Posted in , , , , , , | Posted on 2:45 AM

Hello, Everyone!  The little artist featured in the images below, came to paint with me, thanks to her mother enjoying her painting experience approximately one week earlier.  Her mother created another beautiful abstract and they created a separate abstract, together.  As a petite artist she did a wonderful job painting.  You can see her artwork, below!  I think she's 5 years of age; didn't she do a great job of painting with her mother?! I really enjoy seeing families paint together; it is a wonderful experience, all around!

Pumpkins on Canvas, Art on Pumpkins!

Posted by Chae Designs - Michelle 'Chaella' Boddie | Posted in , , , , , , , | Posted on 3:23 AM

Hello, Friends!  These two families were such a delight to instruct (all of my students have been a delight, really)!  We painted unique pumpkin-themed paintings for the 'You Don'r Know Jack' at the Blu' Bique event, first.  Then, actual fresh pumpkins were painted with their custom, unique designs!  The art that these students created on canvas and on pumpkin is so nice!

Painting Abstracts on The Ladies' Day Out

Posted by Chae Designs - Michelle 'Chaella' Boddie | Posted in , , , , , , , | Posted on 4:24 PM

Hello, Everyone!  The beautiful abstract paintings you see in the images, below, were painted by the ladies you see holding the paintings in the last three images.  The ladies (doctors and lawyers, I think, and at least two are related to each other) were out for a day of activities together and were recommended to us by No Mas! CantinaWe appreciate No Mas! Cantina for that blessing and we've recommended them to others, too!

When the ladies arrived, we decided to paint our versions of an abstract painting that was on display in the Blu' Bisque.  The color-scheme of the original is painted with darker, wintery hues.  We chose brighter autumnal colors since we were in the midst of the Autumn season with its gorgeous palette of oranges, reds and yellows.  Of course, as you can see we added other lovely colors, too!  I photographed these images with the iPad while the ladies ate their lunch at No Mas!  They left them with us to dry while they ate, since they were too damp for transport.

When the ladies returned to pick up their paintings, the 'You Don't Know Jack' pumpkin-painting themed class had begun.  The ladies returning from No Mas! met the ladies (mother & daughter) that you see working on their pumpkin paintings, along-side their painted and decorated fresh pumpkins, complimented their artwork and expressed their interest in doing this themed class, as well.

Of course, those classes were in October 2014 and I enjoyed meeting those seven (7) ladies and teaching the two to paint pumpkins on canvas, and the five to paint an abstract on canvas.  All of them were so delightful and I'd love to paint with them again!

This is my version of the abstract painting.  Each of us painted our own interpretation of the original painting, and each version is uniquely beautiful!

'3 Pumpkins' Art on Canvas

Posted by Chae Designs - Michelle 'Chaella' Boddie | Posted in , , , , , | Posted on 6:46 PM

Hello! As you may have noticed, pumpkins have been a popular item to paint with several of my painters. The lady and guy below are relatives celebrating the lady's birthday with a painting class, among other celebrations they enjoyed earlier this day. The brother participated in this art class with his sister as part of his birthday gifts to her. They were great students, painting along as they enjoyed their dessert and beverage. I love the details they added to their pumpkins; I think they created beautiful pumpkin paintings! Don't you?

Babies Like to Paint & Moms, Too!

Posted by Chae Designs - Michelle 'Chaella' Boddie | Posted in , , , , , , , , | Posted on 7:11 PM

Hello, Everyone! Today's art class images feature three family members: a mom, and her daughters. Mom brought her daughters out for a painting-on-canvas (& each other) experience to celebrate her baby's 1st birthday. Together, the three of them created two beautiful abstract paintings using acrylic paint. Initially, the oldest daughter painted on canvas only. However, at some point on her own, she decided it would be fun for her to paint her baby (literally) sister's face with acrylic paint. I, gently, reminded them that it would be far better to use this paint on the canvases.

Mom thoroughly enjoyed this experience painting with her daughters, and the baby enjoyed playing in the paint. Since they were 'walk-ins' they painted 'free-style' and created their own abstract masterpieces, together. Now, they have a wonderful memory of painting together, captured in photographs.

were much less beautiful than the ONE who rules them all. The Creator of beauty itself created them.
